Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?

You will receive a full refund if you cancel 24 hours before departure time of your tour (MST). Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will not be eligible for any refund.

Is your tour child friendly?

Children and babies are welcome on the tour but you may want to consider:

i. Babies under two are free but babies must be carried into the food eateries as there will be no room for strollers. You will have to carry and keep your baby on your lap during food tastings.

ii. Children over 2 would require a paid ticket (strollers still not permitted) but whether the standing and walking (and tasting options) during the duration of the tour would be enjoyable for the child would be something to consider.

What should I bring with me on the tour?

Please wear comfortable walking shoes and appropriate outdoor clothing for typical mountain weather (mountain weather can be cool even in summer and can change quickly.) Tours go on with light rain. We will not be sitting down inside at all food tasting stops.

Please consider bringing water with you as not all food tasting stops will serve water. You may want to bring a re-useable shopping bag especially if you decide to continue on to the bonus stop on Thursday morning tours at the Mountain Made Market.

How much walking do we do on the tour?

We will walk about 1 to 1.5 kms in total (about 1 mile). There are some stairs at some of our food tasting stops as well.

Are your tours suitable for vegetarians or people with food allergies?

Some of the food tastings on our tours are vegetarian but not all, and we cannot promise any vegan choices.

Additionally, because we have a variety of different food establishments to visit and a variety of menu items to taste (sometimes with last minute substitutions of menu items), we cannot accommodate food allergies. If you have a severe or life threatening food allergy, the tours are not suitable for you.

How much food will we be eating?

Although each food tasting stop is a small portion, after our 5 tastings, you will not likely need to eat again for some time!
